Our resort concierge highly recommended this restaurant and said reservations were not necessary. We found Hege and spent time at the local shops until they opened (almost 3 hours). We were excited when they opened and were greeted with “you don’t have reservations” and it was pretty empty. They allowed us to order and sit at a high top table. We got sea bass and crab cakes. Sea bass was amazing while the crab cakes were okay. They had several open tables the entire time we were there. Wish they had acted a little more glad we were there. Our meal was well worth the $$$ ticket. Yes, we would go back if we visit this coastal area again.

Very delicious food.... French onion soup and bacon wrapped shrimp...as good or better than any other place we've been with similar cuisine, all over the country. You must have the soup.Bread and butter was exquisite. Tuna tartar was exceptional and very satisfying as an entree for me. Service (Mikaela?) at the bar was excellent and overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant and we would go back again without a doubt. People who want takeout at finer places like this should get a grip and go to the grocery store across the street. I am sure your family will survive on pb and j or cold cuts/frozen food... but plan accordingly and don't leave bad reviews for places that are serving guests in front of them. You should dine here if you are on the island. It is without a doubt one of the best places, even compared to the dining at the golf courses.

Excellent dinner. Cleaned up the table in a timely manner. Service was good. Waiter was a nice gentleman. The vibe inside was perfect. Definitely recommend going there. Food options are delicious, I had French onion soup and roasted duck breast. The entree was superb, with Brussels sprouts, candied yams and duck breast sliced with a berry type compote.

Stopped here quite by accident as I’m only here for two days. I love French food and Hege’s did not disappoint! Started with the house pate and it was divine! Rich and flavorful. As I am solo, looking forward to the rest for brunch tomorrow.Had the crab cake appetizer as well and wow! All crab, succulent, juicy and a wonderful sauce.Felt very warm and welcoming, not at all uncomfortable being solo. Even treated myself to a glass of champagne.Highly recommend. Do stop here when you’re nearby and if not, make the trip out to this charming village.

One of my favorite date places. The food is beyond indulgent, modern and creative. My favorite dish was the pan seared sea bass.

Food was good/really good. Started with mussels which were very nice. Wife had duck breast which she said was comparable to that she was served in Paris & other "real" French restaurants. I had "prime" NY strip. Sauce was fantastic. Steak only OK. Creme spinach was delicious. Excellent service. Seating a little too close for top end restaurant.

Our dinner at Hege’s was definitely worth reviewing. All of the food was so well balanced and flavorful. We had the French onion soup which was a bit heavier than usual but very flavorful. We also had the beef stroganoff special and the seafood pan roast. Both were 10/10. Drinks were a little too strong and Smokey tasting for my liking but I was happy the waitress noticed and quickly suggested something else I would prefer. The espresso martini made up for the other drinks. Michaela was a great waitress and took the time to advise us about the area since it was our first visit. Great service. Interior could use a remodel sooner than later and the A/C could most definitely be cooler but besides that it was a great experience and we would go back.

Hege’s was the perfect spot for me and my husband to share our first dinner as a married couple! We had Michaela as our server. She was so attentive and offered great suggestions for each course and even poured us some celebratory champagne! We would highly recommend Hege’s for any occasion but especially for couples who come to Kiawah for their honeymoon!

Rehearsal Dinner Heaven! Hege’s knocked our socks off with their attention to detail, kindness to us and our 150 or so guests, and served out of this world food! Co-owner Scott, made planning our son’s rehearsal dinner so easy -he is such a nice guy- and his staff was incredible; truly on top of a very complicated schedule. Our guests were gushing about the food! More than once I was told it was the best fish they had ever eaten and the lobster ravioli was to die-for. Everything, from the seafood setup, the passed hors d’oeuvres, and the station was exceptional. They were flexible when I asked to bring in a groom’s cake, accommodating with set up, timing and menus, super professional and really MADE the wedding weekend for us. It was a huge undertaking. We were thrilled with how the evening went. Thank you Hege’s!!!

Food, service, ambiance; the perfect place to end your day. A fabulous blend of French techniques and continental cuisine. You'll want to try one of everything. Excellent wine list.

We were looking forward to a return trip to Hege’s last weekend, but unfortunately it was not as enjoyable. Two of the four guests ordered the She Crab soup, and both became ill after returning home (only dish in common); the other appetizers/salads were fine. One guest ordered the Halibut special and commented that while a decent meal, it was nothing special and they wished they had ordered something else. Two guests ordered beef dishes and indicated they were prepared as ordered and had a nice flavor. I ordered the Lobster Fettuccini and the lobster and scallops on top of the pasta was overcooked. Other members of the party noticed and commented on the struggles trying to remove the lobster from the shell and cut it into bites. Not the same diligence for the meals as we had previously experienced. Overall, the service was fine, except for the busser trying to clear three diner’s plates when they were not finished with the meals. And when did they start passing the credit card fee back to the diner? Not something I expect from what is considered a high-end restaurant. We have had many fine meals in other restaurants in the area, so will be looking at other options on our next trip to Kiawah.

First the bad news. We had a bad reaction to the snurl of many of the other diners. Definitely an us and them, either admire or look down your nose situation. One review cited velvet rope syndrome, perfect description. The wait staff seemed encouraged to sell as much as service, but were mostly efficient. We had appetizer, no drinks and two dinners for $170, so they’re living up to high end.The good news is that the food was excellent quality and perfectly prepared, it’s obvious they have a good kitchen. Fried green tomatoes, filet and halibut with accompanying sides were just superb.If they can balance some of the pretentiousness with a big dose of humility toward the people who support them, they would really have something going.

Scott and the whole team at Hege's were amazing on a busy St. Patricks Day weekend! We sat at a twotop in the bar area and Tiffany was our server. She was amazing and really helped make the night special. The food and drinks are always exceptional. We had the crab and shrimp co*cktail and steak tartare for starters and for dinner the blackened redfish and steak frites. Hege's lives up to the Kiawah Island experience.

Great spot to go if you’re staying at Kiawah and don’t want to go all the way to Charleston. Friendly staff. Only slight was that food took a little longer than we’d hoped but it was also Saturday night and busy. Very nice atmosphere

First time going here. We showed up early and so glad we did. There was already a line out the door - and for good reason! The pizza was delicious and very unique. Both of us also ordered co*cktails, which were also delicious. Service was a tight ship - our waiter was spot on and doing an incredible job considering the whole restaurant was full in 20 minutes.

This might upset some Italian-Americans, but the eggplant parmesan might be one of the best I've EVER had! 😊 My next door neighbor's homemade dish is the best, but La Tela's was EXCELLENT! We'll definitely dine there again!

So for the four years we have gone to this magnificent spot on our first evening at Kiawah. Simply put its got a great staff - love Brianna- and the atmosphere is clean and very inviting. The most important part is the food and it superb. Pizza's are spectacular, Chicken Parmigiano is mind blowing, deserts are fresh and fantastic and yhe small charcuterie board is point on. If you done go here when visiting Kiawah you have truly missed out. I whole heartedly recommend LA Tele. A+

So delicious! Absolutely outstanding food, and excellent service. We had the pasta fa*gioli, the warm butternut squash salad, the ricotta pizza, the sausage pizza, and the house-made cavatelli; and all were impeccably prepared and scrumptious. The server was very pleasant and efficient. Great experience. Not to be missed!

My sausage pizza was excellent. Many types of pizza available along with salads and pasta dishes. Full bar available. Very good service.

My daughter and I stopped in for an impromptu celebration and we're very pleased! She got the ravioli and I had the artichoke pizza and both were delicious! Our server was attentive and kind - we will definitely be back!

If you want carry-out, come to the restaurant at 5 when it opens. Go to the bar, and place your order right away. It will take 20-25 minutes. By 5:30, the wait will be 90 minutes. Great staff, working hard. The person answering the phone is also running the cash register and handling carry-out. Very multi-task talented. Pizza is great, thin crust, very New York style.

Always a huge wait for in house dining and take out. Very disorganized and chaotic. 2 hours to get simple pasta takeout for kids. Super rude hostesses. Don’t answer the phone for customer to place orders.

This is a casual place with very tasty food. The best things on the menu are the wood-fired pizza and the fresh pasta. Delicious! The chicken parmigiana was pretty good. Ceasar salad was tasty, though slightly under-dressed and could have used an upgrade of shaved parmesan rather than the more pedestrian grated stuff. The mixed green salad was nice and had a good dressing. They are doing both dine-in and carryout with seating both indoors and out. Service was decent, not great. Great for families.

I’ve been going to La’Tela for almost a decade now. Recently, I went to Italy and had the best pizza of my life; similarly, I’d say this restaurant has Italian-style pizza most equivalent to the original. I’d suggest this spot to anyone visiting Charleston.

My family and I have been going to La Tela for years when we vacation at Seabrook. Great service, delicious food, and an enjoyable atmosphere. Highly recommend their butternut squash salad!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.We shared a garden salad which wasnt your typical salad.It had pear slices, pecans, tomatoes and cucumbers.It was the salad dressing that really brought the flavors together.Also, we shared the eggplant parmigian.Were gluten free so I didnt know what to expect. It was so good I had to verify that it was gluten free.Many eggplant parmigian are very cheesy, not this one.The eggplant was crisp and the sauce was delicious.My husband also had the chocolate gelato.It was very flavorful, obviously made in house.The service was also great .The hostess was very friendly and the waiter was very helpful .It was very appreciated as it was a busy night.

Awesome pizza spot on the island. Food and service were great. Specials were on point and so were the drinks. Definitely recommend it if you want some great pizza.

Always great food when we go. They were super busy this afternoon however they made rooms for the 4 of us to sit at the island so we didn’t have to wait. Staff was great and very friendly even during the lunch rush. Great recommendations on beer.

The food here was decent. They have a nice outside option for dining. Service was good and our food came out fast. Many options on the menu. I would of rate it higher however it is way overpriced. They do not allow menu substitutions without an upcharge of $3- $4. A sandwich and a side salad (which came on the plate) was over $20, however everything was very fresh.

I really enjoyed the sweet tea reduction fried chicken. One of my dining companions really liked her Asiago fried chicken. Menu has sandwiches, burgers, and a variety of entrees. One special feature is building your own chopped salad. You have a whole page of ingredients to decide which ones you want. Full bar menu. Very good service.

3.5 StarsKing Street Grill is a very attractive restaurant in a very nice location. Outdoor seating is very pleasant. The food is tasty and generally good. Sliders and wings were tasty. Artichoke and spinach dip was too. The grilled tuna on salad was fresh and good. And drinks (especially the aperol spritz) were very nice. They also made a delicious virgin co*cktail for our little one. Service was friendly. Parking nearby is difficult.

Excellent lunch- loved being able to sit outside. We shared the eggroll mac & cheese appetizer and the turkey melt on a pretzel bun. Everything tasted great. Portions were generous & great service by Kayla. Not sure why there are so many less than great reviews. Maybe the overall expectations from the type of people that frequent this area is higher than the rest of us? It is definitely located in an area that is upscale. Don’t let the reviews keep you from a great meal! The inside is also perfect for hanging out and watching the games while you enjoy your meal.

Had the burger with macaroni and the cheese steak egg rolls. EXCELLENT!!! Wish I knew the servers name. I know his family is from Goldsboro NC. Got 5 star service.

I loved the chicken cordon bleu sandwich! I ordered it on two occasions and both times were perfect. The strawberry lemonade mojitos were a pleasant addition to my meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

2 years ago****Good beer. Great food. Excellent service. I had the pesto pita and the wife had the chopped salad. Everything came out quick and correct. Fresh veggies and feta on the side salad. A must try when your in fresh fields.****8/21/23***I would pass on the filet it’s overpriced and rubbery like they used transglutaminase. It wasn’t quite right and it came with three pieces of asparagus 👎. The waffle fries and sweet tea chicken were awesome, as well as the kids spaghetti. They have the same local brews nothing has changed in two years. They haven’t made any changes or improvements. The bar area was super humid and hot.

Great food and service. We visited on a Monday night at 7pm. We waited 20 minutes for a table. It was worth the wait. I got the wings with Chipotle BBQ. My wife got the make your own salad. She said the house made peppercorn Parmesan dressing was delicious. My daughter got the pesto chicken pita and my son got cheese fries. Everything was delicious. Sitting on the patio made the evening made for a wonderful evening. Our server Steve did an amazing job. I'm glad I asked him sandwich or wings. Because the wings were awesome. Hoping to make it back before our vacation is over.

Darnell was phenomenal—we had an excellent experience and he was great! They were able to accommodate our large group last minute, and our service was stellar. We were celebrating our grandmothers 80th and him and the staff made it memorable for her and our whole family!

Food was a 1/10. Took my finance to dinner to impress in Kiawah and I truly did leave her speechless because it was absolutely AWFUL. We live close and we will NOT be returning. She ordered a mushroom Swiss and it came with a bun, burnt patty, 10 small canned mushrooms, and an open faced bun. That was it, with rock hard waffle fries.

The service was spot on. We had the southwest egg rolls and they were homemade and delicious. My tenderloin appetizer was very good as well.

Burger was really good. Kitchen is open and you can hear the cooks’ banter (they are loud) and they added a 3.5% fee to use a credit card that they didn’t highlight. I would go for the burger again but would sit outside and have cash. Pretty bad that they tried to sneak in another 3.5% on the bill. If they hadn’t it would be a solid 4 stars

Food was great - exactly what we needed for a quick, relaxing lunch outside.Bailey was wonderful and made sure we were well taken care of - down to a small request.Music wasn’t too loud but not too quiet.

I would love to review the food. The problem is after two hours of waiting the restaurant cancelled our order without explanation. They supposedly told our delivery service that they would expedite the order at the 1hr. 57min. minute mark of waiting... and then they cancelled it. Here's a picture of our empty table. Notice there is no sushi.

I thought the food here was excellent. The shrimp appetizer, surf & turf roll, and sashimi were fresh & tasty. I will also say that the service was excellent and there was only one server for the entire restaurant + patio. She was doing a great job despite being slammed. I would eat here again for sure. To all the people complaining about takeout on the island.... plan better and go to the GROCERY STORE to feed yourselves and family instead of relying on local places that barely have enough help to keep the place running. * Actually ate here again with perfect service and rolls. I appreciate places like this who work hard to serve guests and locals on the island.

Everyone enjoyed their meal. Lunch special was very reasonable (3 sushi rolls for $20 or a Benton box for similar price).They were very busy but our service was good for the amount of patrons to servers. Overall, our favorite meal in FreshField so far.

To put it bluntly if this was the first time I ever ate sushi I would never eat sushi again. Very fishy and underwhelming. Waitress was nice though.

Excellent service and food. There's an extensive selection of sakes, beer and wine. We had a carafe of sake, that was very generous and affordable. We had the hibachi. My companion found a small shard of bone in her steak and scallops. However, the staff made it right, credited her her meal and gave her a premium sushi roll as a courtesy.

Upon noodle soup bowl with crab stick, lots of veggies, delicious broth in deep bowl. Shrimp tempura. Japanese Sapporo beer. Just delicious!!

This place was absolutely wonderful! Our group of friends decided to do a quick stop here for sushi right before heading back home from our vacation and ended up delaying our trip in 2 hours simply because we couldn't stop eating! We ended up ordering so much! I've never eaten sushi so fresh in my entire life and I've eaten sushi all over the world.

Such a great find! We’ve been coming to Seabrook for years - glad we finally tried this place. I got their hibachi chicken and steak, which was great, and the sushi looked amazing too. Good service. Would come back here!

The steak was cooked perfectly and the miso soup was good as well. The Christmas rolls were the highlight of our meal. Customer service is excellent at this location and they do take reservations. They are also open later than the other restaurants in this area.

The Fuji was a welcome surprise after the complete letdown of the other surrounding restaurants.We were seated immediately, were greeted, given a rundown of specials and what we may or may not like based on our preferences and were made aware of the drink selections.The waiter was friendly and engaging and at the same time did not hover and gave us plenty of time by ourselves to talk and dine.I had one of their spicy sashimi rolls and two Tobiko (roe) nigiri rolls and both were very good. My friend had the Teriyaki Shrimp Hibachi and was very happy with it as well.The bathroom was spotless and had designer soap and hand lotion for after wash which was nice. We both really enjoyed this place and if we ever went back through will eat here again.

The service was great. The food was quite average. My dumplings were soggy. This may be due to my takeout order status. The rice was very bland and not very tasty. The noodles also were very average. The staff was quite friendly. I have had better sushi. Not many Asian options on the island, so I am grateful for the food.

Really enjoyed our dinner tonight. Didn't have reservations but there was a table on the patio that we were able to be seated at. Staff was attentive and very friendly. Tried several of their white wines. Had the hot crab appetizer and I had pan seared salmon and my husband had the crab cakes. Both were excellent. Will make sure to dine here again on our next trip back.

Worth checking out for date night.Great food and plenty of wine selection.Ordered pork schnitzel with fresh made wine gravy, mushroom rizoto and vegetable medley. And for appy we had baked brie.Everything was exceptional and not a bad price for the quality of the food. Nice interior and good service.Great place to dress up and take your significant other or someone special.

This place was an absolute savior for us on a Monday night business dinner! We were looking for somewhere to take clients to a nice dinner and most of the restaurants on the island are closed on Mondays. 48 Wine Bar and Kitchen did an awesome job. I liked how in their private dining room the table was square instead of rectangular so each of our 11 guests could all see each other.

We closed on our condo in August 2023 and are still trying out all the amazing restaurants Seabrook & Kiawah have to offer. This restaurant greatly exceeded our expectations. The entire atmosphere is a special experience by itself, then add in the incredible food & wine and you’ve got *chefs kiss 💋 *.I can’t decide which was best: The wine bar or the Warm Crab & Artichoke dip or the Scallops. Probably one of the best experiences we’ve had on Kiawah. Highly recommend. The staff is amazing. The food is amazing. Everything. 10/10 ♥️

Half the place was empty and plenty of seats at the bar and outside, the gal told us sorry we are completely booked. We just wanted a glass of wine or two then she said due to Covid we needed to leave let me add she nor anyone else on staff were wearing masks ! Pretty sure we could have sat somewhere. I’m sure the owner would have suggested she offered us to buy a bottle of wine and the men wanted to buy cigars. Lost some cash tonight. Poor service.

Super great Restaurant and wine bar, the food was great and the employees are very friendly

Would give the food and service a 4.5 if I could. Would be nice to just be able to order some wines by the glass versus having to jump up to serve ourselves from time to time. Crab cakes were wonderful but needed more more aioli. Portions were good. Salads and mussels were great. We enjoyed that we were not rushed.

The wife and I came here for dinner. As we have never been to Kiawah before we were recommended to fortyeight if we wanted to stay downtown. The wife order the falling in love, and loved it. I got the old fashion and it was to be expected, still very good. We got the garlic fries for an appetizer and the garlic aioli was absolutely out of this world, it was so good. The wife got the shrimp and grits and she said it was amazing. I got the meatloaf, and I have never in my life thought I would order meatloaf. The mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy, the asparagus was perfectly cooked, and the meatloaf was both moist yet not soaked. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The meal was not cheap but was way worth it.

Good here was really great! Three people in our party did the wine experience. They loved getting a new wine each course with their food. I had the steak frites! My filet was cooked to perfection! The charcuterie board was awesome and I liked that you could pick what you wanted! I did wish they offered some substitutes with the steak frites! I would have loved the mashed potatoes but those were only served with the meat loaf! Overall, great experience and would recommend!

They are basically all jumbo lump crab meat with very minimal amount of filler. They are pure perfection! The mustard style aioli is wonderful too. I did ask for a little extra on the side but other than that, perfect! Truly the best I’ve ever had.There are so many different types of wine around the room and I thought it was fun to read about the wines and sample them.At the end of the meal, they brought some key lime pie and a glass of champagne for the birthday celebration and it was truly special!Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent meal accompanied by a great staff!They use local ingredients and have fresh seafood. The shrimp are local from Crosby’s so they are very tasty!We are spoiled with lots of great restaurants in Charleston but I will say, this is now one of my favorites!We had a reservation and were seated promptly upon arrival. We went on a Sunday night and they stayed pretty busy but some walk-ins could definitely have come in to grab a meal. Not sure what it normally looks like in there but based on everything I read, you should make a reservation!We called to make our reservation but I saw on the screen while we were dining that you can reserve a table in Resy as well.Thank y’all for a wonderful evening! Good food & wine. Service is awful. Awful might be too kind. Ate dinner 2x there this week. Got seated and both times had to beg for a server to come by each time. Took forever to get anything. Even brought our appetizer AFTER our meal arrived. Ridiculous. Steak & Cheese flatbread was very good though.

Wine is good, food is so good too, especially the flat breads. I wish I had found it out earlier.

A self pour wine bar! So much fun.You cannot go wrong with the boards! Be sure to try the goat cheese and bacon jam...it's the best!I also had the beet salad which was quite good. The fruit mixed in with the cheese mixed nicely together.The margherita flatbread had a great flavor with an awesome balsamic glaze on it.Definitely stop here! It's a great time.

This place is a gem in kiawah. Our server Dara was the sweetest and so informative. The food was 10/10. Can’t go wrong w charcuterie boards and the crab cakes were to die for! Must stop if you’re in area!!

Absolutely one of the best places to visit while here in Kiawah. Everything is amazing. From the selection of wines to the amazing food. They have a variety of co*cktails as well. Wines are all price points and it’s cool to try something you wouldn’t ever dare to buy a bottle of. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

Always my favorite lunch spot at KI! For this visit we had Cafe Eugenia make a beautiful lemon raspberry cake for my dad's 80th birthday party- it was wonderful and a huge hit at the party. Thank you so much for fitting us in to your busy Easter schedule- we will be ordering for our next occasion soon!

First time here, and the food was incredible, locally sourced and home cooked! The employees were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this cafe for chill vibes and good eats for breakfast and lunch. Definitely try the frozen rosé and a biscuit with strawberry jam!

Super cute inside with really friendly staff! :)The matcha was really good and very smooth although keep in mind their matcha powder comes presweetened. If you're looking for unsweetened matcha I'd recommend The Hemingway or Island Provisions (Island Provisions also has the option of using local honey to sweeten it).The hummus was super good with notes of lemon and curry powder - definitely not like store bought hummus which usually has too much tahini which can make it bitter. Their hummus was super flavorful, not bitter at all!

Came in for lunch. Found it relatively expensive. When ordering an iced tea, the server asked if my wife would like a splash of lemonade. Little did we know that would raise the exorbitant price of a tea from $4.50 to $6.00. Sandwiches were good, especially the charcuterie sandwich. When you decide on a tip at the register, realize that you will be asked to bus your own table.

The perfect mix of modern chic and a welcoming classic feel. The croissant is amazing--buttery and a little crunch. Try it as a breakfast sandwich bacon, egg, and cheese! Definitely THE SPOT to go for Seabrook Island residents.

We chose Cafe Eugenia to host the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding last month and could not have been happier! Since the reception was to be held at the Seabrook Island Club, we wanted a different kind of dining experience for the night before. As soon as he saw the bright and open, yet cozy interior of Cafe Eugenia, my husband knew its ambience was perfect for the relaxed and social evening we wanted.Chef Bea was wonderful to work with; she put together a wine selection, charcuterie and dinner menu that wowed everyone, from recent graduates to grandparents (32 guests). The fresh, light, Mediterranean-influenced offerings were refreshing in the June heat. Local fruits, vegetables, herbs and shrimp highlighted the menu selections.The staff provided top notch service from the moment we arrived. From informed wine recommendations to their attentive yet relaxed assistance, we felt their commitment to making this gathering memorable for our family and friends. Fresh flowers adorned the tables. Ample food was provided and appetizers and charcuterie trays were replenished promptly. WIth four entree selections, everyone's tastes were accommodated.We searched many potential venues in the Kiawah/Seabrook/ Johns Island area before finding exactly what we hoped for in Cafe Eugenia. It made a strong impression on our guests, who commented throughout the rest of the weekend -- and beyond -- on their delicious and enjoyable evening. Cafe Eugenia is a jewel! We highly recommend Chef Bea and her staff to anyone seeking a unique private venue for their gathering.

Café Eugenia is the best breakfast spot near Kiawah! You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, but I highly recommend the whipped feta toast with honey and cracked black pepper. Their housemade focaccia pairs well with all of their breakfast sandwich options, and the egg soufflé is delicious. Parking is easy (in freshfields village) and they have indoor and outdoor seating.

The catering experience was seamless and convenient. The food was ample and delicious. Our guests enjoyed everything, as did we! Thanks, Cafe Eugenia!

You need to try this new cafe! The frozen strawberry lemonade was delicious and the bread they use for all their sandwiches is so fresh! We loved the glass co*ke bottles. They have a lot healthy options here and can accommodate many dietary restrictions. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. We will be back soon!

We stopped in for breakfast and loved it! So many different options and items caught our eye. We even left with a take home meal that we can’t wait to try. The staff was super friendly, too. Thrilled to have them in freshfields for all of our SBI trips!

Payed for a trio dip for takeout…. This is the guacamole that we got… it’s enough for 2 chips to be dipped. We called and the manager gave attitude and refused to give us a solution. I work in a restaurant and if I hear (or my manager) somebody complain they find a solution right away. Just bad management honestly. Maybe take a class on how to treat customers as a refresher.

I’ve been going to Cantina 76 almost every week for tacos and haven’t had a bad experience except today. My father, mother, and I went to grab lunch at Cantina 76 during lunch time, and it was the worst services I’ve had at Fresh Fields. We got sat down around 10 minutes after we got there and the lady at the hostess stand didn’t say anything. We then got sat down and it took another 10 minutes for someone to come serve us. We ordered waters, some drinks, and chips and salsa which took about 15 minutes to come out. We then placed our order because we realized that it was going to take a long time due to the fact that it took 15 minutes for our appetizers to come out. No shock there, we waited 30 minutes for our food, still didn’t have it, waited another 15, wasn’t there.When you are serving customers in Fresh Fields, a really nice place, you want to make sure that you are respectful, kind, and fast to bring out food to satisfy your customers. Usually when we go to Cantina they are fast and super kind. The service that we got today was horrible. We asked how long our food was going to take because we were waiting for about 45 minutes for our food, she said that she would look and it was another 5 minutes. The waitress that we had didn’t seem to care. For three customers coming in to have lunch should not take this long. This is the absolute worst experience I’ve had dining in Fresh Fields. I mean, just unacceptable! We just said to forget about our tacos and we will pay for our chips and drinks. The other people around us had already gotten our food, yet we were there before them all. Another group of eight ladies had come in and we told them that we had waited about an hour to get our food.Three people waiting for tacos at lunch time should not take a whole hour. Just horrible.

They have very food. They Alcohol 🍸 Beverages, and other drinks...love the place, everyone there were great..I will definitely go back...love it..

It's ok Mexican food. The pickings are a little slim on the islands but if you are desperate for some Mexican, then I think this is your best bet. Staff are friendly, foods just ok, nothing to write home about, just basic and simple food.

Do not recommend! Went there because there's a brunch menu online. There isn't brunch. No big deal. I'll eat tacos! We were one of 3 groups in the restaurant. We order drinks and chips and salsa. Waitress drops everything off and took our order. We all ran out of drinks while waiting on service/food for about 20 minutes. Waitress comes to get drink orders for the new table that came in. When I tried to grab her attention, she responded with, "WHAT?!" Shocked, I politely asked if we could have refills. She brings them without speaking.Food was mediocre and overpriced. Jalapeño shrimp taco was 3 shrimp and pickled Jalapeños from a jar. Brisket taco was cold.

Amazing margs and tacos, perfect after a beach day. Dog friendly too for sitting outside with a view of the water. Our server Emily made our experience very warm and welcoming and the tuna taco was awesome.

We went to Cantina 76 tonight with another couple and it was extremely crowded. We were told that we could sit at the bar so we did.Vincent was the bartender and our waiter. He was awesome!We all ordered from the menu but had changes in each of our orders and Vincent didn't blink an eye. He placed our order without any errors and everything came out perfectly. Vincent is also fun to watch as he never stops when fixing the drinks. Quite a talent!!

Pros: nacho meal is large. Staff is friendly although not particularly fast.Cons: Any Mexican restaurant that doesn’t give me free chips is getting 2 stars knocked off immediately. Chips cost $3. It’s not the price; it’s the principle.Quesadilla meals were of inferior quality. Thin, no substance, and tasteless.Staff was slow. They were nice, but you had to wait a particularly long time for a refill on water, let alone food.

Stopped in for lunch and we ordered chips and queso for an appetizer, a steak quesadilla and a few tacos. The food was nothing to write home about. Middle of the road. The service we received was great. Our waitress was very attentive and kind. Anything we needed was either brought without asking or immediately after.

We stopped in for lunch before we rented bikes to ride around island. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely and we were seated promptly. Our server Jana was absolutely terrible. I asked about our chips and salsa appetizer taking some time and was snitted at by her. She never refreshed drinks or even returned until well after our food came. Main problem…….Daughter clearly stated she has a dairy allergy and ordered no cheese on taco as well as a corn tortilla. Order came with cheese and flour tortilla. Since Jana did not return to table until much later the food runner had to take care of order. Jana was rude and snippy and never acknowledged the error or apologized. We have NEVER not left a sizable tip for a server, we know how hard they work and Daughter server all during College…..Jana got 0……exactly what she deserved..

Literally NEVER had a bad experience in this place. The staff is friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is always great! The only time I’m not completely happy with my experience is when I don’t get to interact with or get served by Aly. While all of the employees are top notch, she never fails to brighten my day with her professionalism and upbeat personality. Highly recommend visiting this spot. You won’t be disappointed.

Stopped in and lunch at this location for the first time today. I’ve been to a few others so I had an idea of what to order. It’s Kiawah, so there shouldn’t be any surprises with how much things are here. I thought it was reasonable for the location. I had the fried chicken salad and house margaritas today and they were all good. Definitely a good spot to grab some lunch or quick dinner if you’re in the area.

I had the pleasure of Lizzy being our waitress twice this week while we were on spring break. She was great with out kids and even accomodated our dietary restrictions. The food came out quick, even though it was kind of busy when we visited. It was a great experience overall. Can't wait to visit again this summer!

We were racially profiled. My girlfriend and I went to eat here. We asked to sit outside and that a server would be right there with us. A Caucasian woman about 4’11 announced that she would be our server and took our drinks. After time went by a black woman came and said “I guess I’ll be your server” and we were a little appalled by that. We noticed that another couple sitting next to us that sat down outside after us had the same Caucasian server that we initially had (assuming she didn’t want to serve us because we were black). We were uncomfortable however we still ordered food and the meal was okay. I’m a Corporate Hotel Manager and really feel that this was very unprofessional and lack of ethics at a restaurant. This service was very slow and not helpful. We waited almost 40 minutes to receive a check. I might take legal action after the embarrassment and suffering this has caused my girlfriend and I. We were trying to celebrate her birthday but instead was racially profiled for absolutely no reason.

Wonderful outdoor dining experience! The hostess told us it would be a 15-20 min wait for outdoor seating and exactly 15 minutes later we were sat at a very clean table. Our server’s recommendations were excellent and our drinks were never empty! We started with warm tortilla chips and salsa and our tacos were delicious. We’ll be back!

Our visit to Cantina 76 at Kiawah Island with our twin boys, who usually enjoy Mexican-inspired food, unfortunately, fell short of our expectations. From start to finish, our dining experience left us feeling quite disappointed.I had high hopes when I ordered the blackened shrimp taco, but what arrived at our table was far from satisfying. The taco featured three tiny shrimp that were under-seasoned and failed to deliver the promised "blackened" flavor. To make matters worse, the Pico de Gallo accompanying the taco was dominated by an overwhelming amount of white onions, making it unpalatable and off-putting.To please my indecisive son, I also ordered three enchiladas: one chicken in red sauce, one inVerde, and one beef in red. Unfortunately, these enchiladas were a letdown. The red sauce enchiladas had a burnt cheese topping that resembled a pizza gone wrong, and the meat inside was disappointingly dry, making it difficult to enjoy. The Verde sauce seemed to have been reheated hastily, resulting in an unappetizing, bubbly texture akin to toothpaste. The meat in all three enchiladas suffered the same fate, lacking any juiciness or tenderness. It was a challenge to eat them without a refreshing beverage.Sadly, after a few initial bites, I abandoned the enchiladas altogether. Even the shrimp taco couldn't salvage the meal, as I found myself merely picking at the tiny shrimp and tortilla. The excessive use of white onions in the Pico de Gallo made it unappetizing and unpalatable.While our waitress was friendly, it was evident that she and other staff members were swamped and often appeared frantic, which added to the overall experience.In addition to our disappointments, my wife ordered the BBQ Brisket taco, hoping for a better experience. While she enjoyed the flavorful meat and the tortilla, she also encountered the same disappointment with the Pico de Gallo, which was inedible due to the overpowering white onions.Furthermore, our one son, who eventually settled on ordering the kids’ chicken tenders, unfortunately, fell violently ill shortly after our meal. It's difficult to pinpoint the exact cause, but it's concerning to think that his illness may have been related to the food.All in all, our experience at Cantina 76 at Kiawah Island was deeply unsatisfying. The underwhelming quality of the food, the unappetizing Pico de Gallo, and the overwhelming jalapeño in the Fish Taco left a lasting negative impression. Despite our friendly waitress, the overall busyness and occasional frantic atmosphere of the staff further added to our disappointment.With numerous dining options available, I would suggest exploring alternative venues that offer a more satisfying Mexican culinary experience. Your health and enjoyment should be the top priority when dining out, and unfortunately, Cantina 76 did not meet our expectations in either aspect.

Service was horrible. We ordered this food for us while we were getting ready for my wedding, they left out two of our meals. I went in two days later to see about getting a refund because we paid for the food we didn’t receive. We waited over thirty minutes, the manager refused to speak with us, no one ever apologized for any inconvenience. In college I worked in restaurants and am shocked by the beyond horrible customer service of this restaurant. I love the food but customer service really goes a long way and this was the worst I had ever experienced in my life. And on my wedding day/weekend.

Great coffee and really good food. Wish there was more indoor seating but not a huge issue. We went here multiple days in a row. The vanilla latte is fantastic.

A nice respite from the uppity atmosphere of the area. Food’s quality is the same standard and the coffee is some of the best around. The staff are all friendly and answer any questions you have. There’s a reason locals frequently get their coffee there. I’d definitely recommend the avocado bagel sandwich.

Great for breakfast or lunch. Had really good sandwiches. There was a long line in the morning, but it moved quickly. Got the bagel with salmon it was awesome, then went back for lunch the next day and got the turkey pesto pannini it was also very good. Will definitely be going back

I love this place! My sisters and I always look forward to coming to Kiawah to go to Java Java. Their Coffee is really really good and their muffins are amazing too.

No one said words to me. It was rude. I just ordered, paid, tipped, got my coffee but had to request to get the rest of my food. Still. No words were spoken. The lavender honey latte is good though.

I have been going to Java for 10 years at this point and the frozen mocha is still my favorite. The sandwiches are hearty and made fresh, and their order online is great to beat the lines. My favorite coffee spot!

Let's see.... $45 for 2 sandwiches and 2 smoothies? Let's say a bit overpriced and underwhelming. The sandwiches were greasy and not very flavorful. The smoothies were average. Using only cold brew for their latte? No espresso?? I realize a resort location charges more, however, the quality of the product should reflect the price charged. If the food is great and the customer service is also, I have no issue with the price. Remedial customer service training needs to be implemented. The young adults didn't seem as if they wanted to be there, didn't want to be bothered by customers, and in return made us feel very unwelcome. Being a local, I expect much better. I would not return. I don't really want to have breakfast with Squidward or Oscar the grouch. I'd rather startmy day with smiles and gratitude.

Stopped in for some breakfast and coffee - we were not disappointed. The service was quick and we really enjoyed our breakfast sandwiches - we picked up a pastry for the road and it was the perfect treat. Definitely check them out!

Excellent coffee. The BEST BLT anywhere. I read comments about staff friendliness. Ever notice how many people move through this tiny place every day? Ever been to busy coffee shops in NYC? Rome? Paris? LA? These folks get it done with a high degree of regularity considering the traffic.

Nice place to eat breakfast or lunch, especially if you have children in tow. They have nightly special for either two or four people which changes daily. On Wednesday they had general tso's chicken with steamed broccoli and rice. I think it was 64 dollars for four people which is a great price considering the prices for meals on Kiawah Island. I. Friday I think it was shrimp and grits and on Tuesday it was chefs choice tacos. It reminded me of a Panera Bread for reference.This is a casual eatery. You order at the counter, receive a buzzer, and then pick up your food from the counter. They also have some groceries and beer and wine for purchase, as well as a few aisles with souvenirs, like golf shirts, T-shirts, hats, and fleeces.We also had breakfast sandwiches, which were very good and priced about 13 to 15 each.

We eat here every year and sue takes great care of us every time, she’s the reason we come eat here lol and the food is great! They serve breakfast lunch and dinner with a smile and great / fast service! Highly recommend the lowcountey omlet for breakfast!! Crab meat plus shrimp, bunch of cheese with spinach oh meh gawd 😋

Stopped in for a salmon wrap and chips. The wrap was good. The facility was clean. There are cold & hot sandwich options and prepackaged item options. You can purchase wine, beer, beverages and apparel here also. There is indoor seating and outdoor porch seating. Nice atmosphere.

Nice shop for convenience items with a decent wine selection and some beer. Food specials everyday and menu items. I found it expensive, even for Kiawah standards. They do make pastries and donuts from scratch and of course you can't beat the venue.

Make sure you take your bank roll when you visit the island. Everything on Kiawah is very expensive, and this little "convenience store" is no exception. And, their selection of food is quite limited.

The grocery part is nice. The food tastes and looks like cafeteria food. And the iced coffee is mostly ice… you’ll maybe get 5-7 sips. The outside area is really cute. But I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast for the price.

I was told that the Nest was going to have everything the East Beach Town Market had. It’s hard to describe what a disappointment the menu is for us. The pizza has been replaced with a store deli cook your own pizza that isn’t very good and can be bought at Harris Teeter for a lot less. The wraps are gone. There is no sweet tea that doesn’t come in bottles We have been to Kiawah twice now since the Market was torn down and the Nest isn’t very crowded even though the dining area is smaller. This was at a time when every eating place is Freshfields was crowded. Even the 15% discount offered with your resort key cannot make up for the small menu with really high prices.We have been coming to Kiawah for over 25 years now. We got food from the Town Market every trip. Hoping they will bring back some of the favorites from the Town Market.

Great place to grab lunch or dinner. Everything we tried was delicious and the staff is super helpful. There is couple of high chairs available and we never had problem finding place to sit. The convenience store has all the essentials.

Chill venue is spot on! Cool new spot on island to grab a gourmet coffee, lite fare, some groceries, and to people watch. We loved sitting on the wrap around porch in the morning watching the area wake up. We visit daily for something.

Super convenient. You can grab *most* things if you forgot them. Prices are high in my opinion. But this is our first visit to Kiawah so maybe they are reasonable for the area? I large macchiato is $8 and breakfast sandwiches at $12.

This is a restaurant/gift shop/market. I bought a tee-shirt and some food. The chicken tenders were probably the best I've ever had. The bathroom was unbelievably fancy and clean. The staff were super nice.

As always the best experience always!!! The view never disappoints! Food was excellent our server Delmar was wonderful!!!! One of my favorite when at Seabrook!

Food was great! I got the bacon turkey wrap twice, with fries! Great fries that are seasoned! It’s was around $12.50 for lunch special wrap and fries! Automatic gratuity is added to every bill, either 10-20% I can’t remember.

Always great food and great drinks. You can’t get a better view at any restaurant in the area like this place. Summer of 2021 very limited menu but hopefully it won’t be that way next year! FUN fact: This restaurant was shown in the first episode of the OBX.

Absolutely love Seabrook and the convenience of the Pelicans Nest! It’s so nice to have a restaurant and pool area nestled right next to the sea. My favorite part? Being able to order drinks + appetizers to take with you to sit by the pool. The downside is the price tag associated with almost anything at the Pelicans Nest! It’s good, but you’re going to be paying a service fee (tip) and additional club fees with every bill. So be prepared to pay when you go for a day at the pool!

Setting is beautiful. However, my kids and I went to the cafe there for breakfast, and to say the food is overpriced is an understatement! 4 bottles of gold peak tea was $22! The food was HORRIBLE. My son and I got a sausage egg and cheese croissant. The sausage was so dry, and the sandwich itself was so hot we couldn't pick it up, like they just nuked it in the microwave. My daughter's got the Belgian waffle (which was not even a full sized waffle), and it was dry and hard, and they couldn't even finish it. $100 in total for a breakfast that fell way under expectations. I seriously enjoy starbucks heated sandwiches better than this place. They really need to up their game on food if they want to charge such ridiculous prices. I can not say anything negative about the staff as they were very polite.

Best ocean front atmosphere anywhere. Gorgeous views day and night. Great food and drinks. Busy, friendly staff doing a great job with a big crowd and food came out fast. Reasonable prices for beach restaurant.

Do not waste your money! Terrible all around. Immediately we were attacked by gnats and flies in our ears, in our food, in the bathrooms. They did have some bug wands that we had to ask for as well as bug spray that we had to track down, but did very little to help. They blamed it on the heat and no wind. They should immediately get bug control and big fans installed! Miserable for guests and staff!!!Food was terrible and WAY overpriced. Got chicken sandwich, grouper sandwich and two kids meals. Buns were hard as a rock, tomatoes mushy, lettuce rotten.Beware a HUGE service fee is included with NO mention when given the bill, so of course we tipped on top.Server was okay but obviously overworked.Go somewhere else or stay home and cook like we should have.

I would give this place -5 stars. It was the worst experience i’ve had with a manager.Me and my family are staying here at sea brook island close to this restaurant. We called ahead to ask if we can eat there and if we need a reservation and they said sure, we can eat there. In fact, we called twice. Anyways, we get to the restaurant and walk in thru the open gate. We get seated and the server asks for the room card number. We were confused because we were told it was okay to eat there and no one said otherwise. He got his manager. This is where things go downhill. The managers name was Jessica Potter. She was EXTREMELY rude and entitled, cut us short stating this is a private club and plainly refused to hear us out. She had an outrageous attitude for someone in this position and frankly told us to leave the property.We got up and left.To be clear, we don’t have any issues with the rules set in place. We have an issue with the misinformation and mostly the way we were treated. Save your money and go somewhere where you can be treated with dignity.

Me and my boyfriends went to lunch at this restaurant and the experience was not that good.The manager of the place, named Jessica I believe, was extremely unpleasant and unfriendly!!!I've never had such bad contact with a manager before, it's really a shame!! I didn't feel welcomed or comfortable the whole time I was ther because of her. Would not recommend it at all.

Never got in. Even though we are renting a place that is supposed to include cards to get in, they were not available. They make NO exceptions.The only saving grace, the young lady was very polite.
